Diane grew up in Greenville, Texas and began serving as church pianist when she was eleven years old at a small church where her sister was the organist and her father served as part-time song leader. She graduated from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas with bachelor's and master's degrees in music. She and her family moved to the area in 1996 and she has continued to serve in the music ministry at South Garland Baptist Church since that time.
Diane has served as Interim Music Minister at SGBC and has also participated in the handbell ministry, led children's choirs and youth choirs, and assisted with adult choir. In addition to serving in the music ministry, she also serves as a volunteer in the kitchen for many church events.
Diane is married to Ken who sings in the choir and is a deacon and Sunday school teacher. They have three sons who grew up at SGBC - Daniel, a pastor in Crawford, Texas; Matthew, an accountant in Dallas and Nathan, a student at UTD.
