What to Expect as a Guest

Guest

You are invited to be our guest! The first thing you will notice is the warm welcome from our members and other guests. Knowing you are among friends helps create the right environment for Worship and Bible Study. We're glad you're here!

SGBC is a Bible-based Church. We believe Jesus is God's Son. He died for our sins, and conquered death in His resurrection. Accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior is the only way to a right relationship with God.

Except for those times during the year when there is a special schedule (check the home page calendar), two worship services are held each Sunday. Traditional worship begins at 9:00 AM, and Contemporary worship begins at 11:10 AM. Come worship in the manner that fits your heart's desire.

Studying God's Word in a group setting with a prepared teacher will grow your relationship with Him. Materials are new each year, and chosen to meet the needs of our members. Classes meet each Sunday at 10:10, unless there is a special schedule (see the home page calendar). Classes are loosely based on age, but you are free to attend any class.

Additional Bible Study is available each Wednesday at 6:30. The Wednesday evening study time is typically content driven, or it may be a special series or training program. Check the calendar or worship folder for details.

Childcare is provided at virtually every Church function, including Worship and Bible Study. Preschool care covers infants to Pre-K. Children's Ministry covers 1st through 5th grades.

In the Traditional Worship Service, many of the men wear coats and ties and the ladies wear dresses, even though there is no dress code. In the Contemporary Service, the atmosphere and dress are more casual.

At the conclusion of each worship service, there is a time of invitation. Simply meet the Pastor or Staff at the front, and you will be welcomed.
