Mother's Day Out

Are you looking for a loving, caring, and nurturing environment that will teach your child that Jesus loves them, the ABC's, manners, and courtesy? You have come to right place! At MDO of South Garland Baptist Church, we want to assure you that your child is a priority and promise from God. Contact MDO Director, Christine Cole, for more information about our program and how we can minister to you and your family.
We are always happy to enroll new children, so please don't hesitate to call or email.

The goal of MDO is to provide activities to meet the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children. We want the children to experience God's love through happy and loving relationships in a Christian environment.

Wednesdays and Fridays 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. We are open during the school year. Ages 9 months to 5 years old are accepted. Children must be picked up promptly at 2:00 pm. A late fee of $1.00 per minute may be assessed if your child is not picked up on time.

Each child must bring their own finger food lunch. We provide juice to drink at lunch, as well as a mid-morning snack of juice and cookies. Children in all classes except "Snickers" and Pre-K "Smarties" need to bring a sippee cup. Sugar Babies, Gummie Bears, and Tart n' Tiny lunch foods should be cut up into bite sizes. Hot Dogs should be diced and grapes should be quartered. Please clearly label all lunch items.

Every child has his/her file. Files on children will have a registration card, copy of current immunization records, or non-immunization form and emergency medical care form.

Sick children are most comfortable at home. Please do not expose other children unnecessarily. Children MUST be fever free for 48 hours without the aid of medication (Tylenol, Ibuprofen or other fever-reducing medications) before returning to Mothers' Day Out. Children with contagious diseases require a Doctor's release before being allowed to return to MDO. Children that appear ill will not be accepted.

$100 Annual Enrollment Fee
$20 Daily Tuition Fee
$25 Drop-In Fee
*If you have more than 2 children check with the Director for fees.

The enrollment fee is non-refundable after the term begins. It is paid in full at the time of enrollment. Once a child is enrolled for a session, the tuition must be paid the first class of each month. A monthly calendar with tuition totals and special activities will be sent home.

Enrollees are responsible for their daily tuition fee, whether or not the session is attended. You are paying for your child's reserved space, not your child's attendance.

A worker will meet your child at the classroom door. For the welfare of all the children, please wait at the classroom door.

A sign-in sheet is located outside each classroom. Always sign-in your child and note how you or an alternate adult may be reached in case of an emergency.

Children in the Gummie Bear, Tart n' Tiny, and Starburst classes must provide their own rest-time mat, blanket, lovey or any item that helps them rest.

Please apply sunscreen during the spring and summer months before arriving at MDO so our little ones will not get sunburned.

Workers are not allowed to dispense medication.

Toys are provided. Please encourage your child not to bring their personal toys.

For your protection clearly label all personal belongings (i.e. lunch boxes, coats, blankets, diaper bags, bottles, etc. even individual food items).

Should you feel it necessary to check on your child during a daily session, allow the director to check for you. Please, do not let your child see you.

MDO is a place for children to play and learn. Depending on their age, they will be working with glue, glitter, paint, play dough, etc., as well as playing inside and out.

They should be dressed in play clothes, such as shorts, jeans, etc.

Tennis shoes should be worn.

For playground activities, sandals are not recommended.

Hair bows, clips, and accessories probably shouldn't be worn since they are easily lost.
